J’s Maternity

I was so glad to be able to sneak in J’s maternity session over presidents day weekend! I am really tweaking my home studio now, and I just LOVE the control I have of the lighting, and its so easy to try a variety of looks because everything we need is right there! J is just a gorgeous mama to be, and was up for anything I could dream up! We even did some GORGEOUS semi-nude, mermaid type (hair covering) that I thought might be a bit much for the blog…but WOW! I LOVE it. She also brought a bunch of fun scarves that we just played with different ways to twist/tie/hold around her! And I’m just loving my new wraps(and a super duper thanks to my friend Christina, who I practiced on HER maternity shots first…those are coming to the blog soon!)

YES (Your Efficiency Specialist)

I had a great opportunity to meet up with Grace and play! We had a great time creating a variety of portraits for her business to use that would really showcase not only her work, but also the many facets of her personality. In her organizing business she specializes in home and small business organization, as well as helping school age children develop organizational skills. So we were even able to wrangle a few kids to help us out! (The curly mop is my son, Lucas!). Grace is going to be helping me convert my guest room to a home office, so I’ll keep you all posted on THAT!

Here is just a little peek at the pics, showcasing not only her “business side”, but her fun-loving approachable personality, and just the joy she finds in working with kids. I hope it all shows!

She has some great workshops coming up at the Starbucks on Hopper…you can grab some coffee and get a jump start on that New Years resolution to get organized, check out her workshop offerings and a discussion group on her facebook page.

Little N and his Family

This little guy is in a hurry. He was in a hurry to get here (a preemie) and is in a hurry to get walking, moving, exploring! At only 10 months he’s just enraptured by everything! While he certainly isn’t a poser (ha ha…pun intended). He just delights in his parents and they delight in him.
This was my favorite shot. Love the light, love the playfulness. Just real life.

We were lucky to have a friend (and baby wrangler) along, so we could get a couple “couples” shots of mom & dad!

Miss A is one

One year olds are always a lot of fun. Busy, busy, busy. They have so much to do, learn and take in, that its a pretty big inconvience to stop and smile for a picture no matter how funny you think you are! And heaven forbid you tell them to stay in one spot! Its a challenge, but sooo worth it, as there is so much personality bursting out of these little people. Just look at that crinkly nose!

Newborn L

This little guy arrived just in time for the holidays! He was a trooper and put up with us fussing with him when all he wanted was a good nap! I loved the little cowboy boots…those were dad’s! The boots are teeny, but look huge next to him!
Here’s a few…
